ATAC Charge

The Gallaudet Academic Technology Advisory Council (ATAC) reviews and helps promote all current services and tools available through Academic Technology and helps in setting future goals and planning.

ATAC Goals and Actions

  • Academic Year 2007-2008
    1. Reviewed the design for a new Crestron Classroom Control System.
    2. Reviewed the plan for moving academic departments into the Ingeniux Web Content Mangement System (CMS).
    3. Reviewed the Waypoint Rubric System.
  • Academic Year 2006-2007
    1. Reviewed the first year implementation of the Gallaudet Classroom Recording Systems and made recommendations for additional deployments.
    2. Advised concerning the implementation of the Gallaudet Press-to-Sign systems.
    3. Participated in press releases and an NBC4 news program about classroom recording. See http://presentations.gallaudet.edu.
  • Academic Year 2005-2006
    1. Helped select the Anystream Apreso system for classroom recording (Apreso was subsequently renamed Echo360 in 2007).
    2. Advised concerning the implementation of the Gallaudet Classroom Recording System.
